The game has now started, but we are still accepting late setups. Please get in touch for details.
If you wish to join OR10, please send in a pledge by email. You may choose one of the three pledges:
Joker Pledge. You could end up in any faction. One of your secondary characters who is not a covert or tactician gets a semi-random Mark.
Faction Pledge. You can choose a first choice faction and a second choice faction. You are likely to end up in your first choice, unless it is oversubscribed by more than 8 players who picked it as a Faction Pledge, in which case you have fair, random chance of getting bumped down to your second choice.
Team Pledge. You submit a group consisting of yourself and up to 3 other players (four players total). You are guaranteed to be in the same faction as these players. You may also submit faction requests, but may well not get the faction you request, and may end up in a faction you did not request.
Note that in this game, each player may only run one position.

7 day turn around until first production, then 10 day thereafter.
Revolts every month.
In this game, factions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 may only share turn results with their own faction.
If you are also in faction 4 or 8, you can still only share turn results with players of your other faction.
For example, if you are in faction 1 and 4, you may only share turn results with players in faction 1.
(This supersedes what is stated in the module.)
There will be a one month ‘spirit based’ King’s Peace until the 1st production.
The D1 and D2 orders are not prohibited by either the King’s Peace code, NOR by the ‘Spirit Based’ King’s Peace. You are allowed to issue these two orders without concern.
WARNING: There will be no King’s peace in the Withered Heath or Moria.
During King’s Peace, Military orders that Block armies are allowed as long as the intention is an attempt to block people from moving into/through your factional area (defined as the area in which factions 1-3 or 5-7 might be allowed to set up).
This means, for example that Hobbits can block Orcs/Nazgul moving into the Shire, and all Dark Servants can block Hobbits from moving the Ring toward Mordor. Even Apprentices can be blocked in this regard.
Please don’t Block forces from moving back along their arrival route.
In order to pay the required royalties to the Tolkien estate, the game is more expensive than a normal game of Legends:
Order cost: 9p
Minimum turn cost: £4.30
Maximum turn cost : £11.60
Start up cost: £5 (as usual)
Factions 1-3 have up to 8 positions each.

The deadline for submitting setups is 4th September.
When submitting setups, please ensure that you use OR setup sheet2023-08-21 where possible (available to download from this page).
If you have a guild, please put the force number you wish it to be in:
Overlords and Mercenaries with home location, enter F0 to put it in your home.
All others enter either the module force number, or F0 to indicate you want it in a location near you of the same race.
Major Module Changes
The following are the major changes to the module.
However, there are also other minor updates, so please make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the module (v3-06).
The amount of points Gondor and Mordor factions gain for each character with the titles ‘General of the Valar’ and General of Melkor’ has been reduced from 103 to 51.
Moria has special actions which allow legions and population to transfer between Middle-earth (the main plane) and Moria.
The wraith status has been updated, so that when Nazgul rite, they are able to overwrite more existing statuses.
Lamthanc and Throkmaw
Lamthanc and Throkmaw have title 1830, giving them access to and from the Withered Heath.
The One Ring
Whenever the One Ring changes hands with a special action that is not 2601, then the wayfarer title of the bearer is also copied across with it.
